Human Diploid Tissue

Posted by: Kathy on: May 15, 2008

What is this? It’s tissue from aborted fetuses that are used to make or grow vaccines. Read more about it here.

Vaccines for Hepatitis A, chicken pox, and Measles-Mumps-Rubella are all made from it (links are to package inserts). See this site for links to more vaccine package inserts.

This is one of my many problems with vaccines. Aside from the ethical issue (which is huge to me), there is the whole scientific, biological issue of injecting cells or cell fragments from one human into another, or from an animal into a human. Take a look at the ingredients in most vaccines, and you’ll probably find that they’re grown in tissues taken from monkeys, cows, or eggs. Ethical issues aside, the monkey part scares me more than the rest, because of all the diseases that they’re bound to have, and I know I’ve read of terrible viruses that have been discovered in monkeys, and can only imagine what they might do once injected inside the human body. They’re discovering new viruses all the time — how can they be sure one of these currently unknown viruses isn’t in your child’s vaccine? It’s been a few years since I’ve researched this, but I remember one of the vaccines that uses cows proclaimed that they only used cows that were from countries that were certified free from mad-cow disease. That’s comforting — but not near enough. And the eggs — aren’t children younger than 1 year of age supposed to avoid egg whites, because of potential for getting future allergies? Yet it’s being injected into them?

Back to the MMR vaccine for a minute, though. It’s the vaccine that most people associate with autism, because it is after receiving this shot about the age of 18 months, that most children who have autism start showing symptoms. Doctors who believe there is no connection dismiss this as coincidence. Those who believe there is a connection blame mercury. But what if it is the vaccine itself? What if it’s the human cells or DNA or pieces of cells that are still in the vaccine, that screw up these kids’ brains? Certainly, not everybody is affected by it — but then, not everybody is allergic to ragweed, either. But, what if….? What if….

Hello. Actually the MMR vaccine does not and did not contain thimerosal. It’s the live viruses in the MMR vaccine that most people believe are the issue (at least, those of us who believe vaccines and autism are related). In theory, some kids’ immune systems are not prepared to handle the assault of three live viruses and then react to that assault. I absolutely believe it played a role in my son’s autism, but don’t see it as the ultimate cause. The theory for my son is that he has an underlying autoimmune disorder and that the vaccine caused a mitochondrial disorder as well. Thus resulting in autism (along with other little Murphy’s Law things that went wrong, I’m oversimplifying here).

It’s scary stuff, for sure. And yes, the flu shot he had his first two years (cooked in chicken eggs), definitely gave him his egg allergies – he’s never had an egg in his life and has a severe allergy.

Again, scary stuff! Wish I had known then what I know now!
